Automation is a feature more companies rely upon for growth. Which automation developments might be on the horizon for the food tech industry?

Automation is a divisive topic. A common concern is that automation in the food tech industry will interfere with hiring and retaining quality, paid staff members. The truth is that most restaurants don’t have ENOUGH help to keep up with demands. Automating simple motor tasks like flipping hamburgers frees up human hands to do the work robots cannot.
The restaurants most noticeably impacted by limited help are not the chain restaurants - those are doing fine. The Ma-and-Pa restaurants, on the other hand, are facing difficult times. These are the perfect candidates for automated help because it's difficult for them to make enough money to keep their lights on. They need help lowering their food costs, getting more workers, and being more efficient. Automation answers all those concerns.
